The on-site survey consists of taking measurements and photos mainly of; all internal and external walls, windows, doors, staircases, any relevant structural details and the external perimeter of the site. This can take between 30 mins to many hours depending on the size and complexity of the building.   

After completing the on-site measured survey, digital CAD plans are generally delivered via email within 24 to 48 hours for a typical flat or a single 3 bed house. Larger or more complex buildings may take longer depending on the level of detail required.

All we require is clear, unobstructed access to every room, and outbuilding in the property. You do not need to move heavy furniture, but ensure doors can be fully opened and rooms are fairly tidy with access to reach each wall will allow us to take fast and highly accurate laser measurements.

Not always. For standard properties, as long as access is arranged—whether via an estate agent, property manager, or key safe—we can complete the survey independently.

However, for complex buildings or unique projects, we may request that you or a representative meet us on-site. This is highly recommended if your project involves unique detailing i.e non-typical layouts, splitting a site, defining ambiguous boundaries, mapping out specific sections for individual tenants, or if you have strict instructions from a legal team that require on-site discussion.

No. LRC Plans specialises strictly in creating accurate, as-existing digital layouts and floorplans of properties as they stand today. We do not provide planning application drawings, building control drawings, or structural engineering drawings for construction purposes.
